INITIATIVES & ACHIEVEMENTS

2019 Initiatives:

  • Convocation 2018: Award ceremony for individual contributions

  • Share Your Story: Each member of the F1 Team was required to present on a technical or non-technical subject.

  • Walk For Education: F1 Academy team participated in “THE WALK FOR EDUCATION” on behalf of four teams organized by Dubai Cares.

  • DOF Interview: CFO interview is conducted and published in Gulf New Friday Magazine

 

  • Trainings:

  1. DOF attended the M&A & Annual MENA CFO conference.

  2. IDU conference in South Africa.

  3. Lean Six Sigma training.

  4. Strategic thinking & planning (Heads + Controllers).

  5. Lean Six Sigma Certification Course for Green Belt (Lean champions).

 

  • Strength Finder: All DXB Finance Staff - 5 major strengths identified

  • Back To School Kids: School supplies has been distributed to all F1 kids ages start from 3

  • Mas ADS: Thinking outside the box and Market your idea.

2018 Initiatives:

  • Training:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis.

  2. Financial Forecasting Planning & Control.

  3. CFO attended Mini MBA course in Oil & Gas Energy Management.

  4. International Petroleum Management Certificate Program.

 

  • Knowledge Sharing: Each member of the F1 Team was required to present on a technical or non-technical subject.

  • Field Visit to Schlumberger: The visit was aimed at benchmarking the F1 team to other industry peers and to promote an effective and efficient way of conducting operations.

  • Aptitude Testing: Assessment of Numerical comprehension and Error checking was conducted for Dubai based Finance Department employees.

  • WIKI Portal & WIKI On the Go: A ‘one-stop’ shop to source and make available articles, white papers, documents etc. relevant to Finance, oil & gas upstream business, workplace, employee engagement etc.

  • Benchmarking: F1 Academy initiate the process by helping the F1 team to understand the importance of research and benchmarking and also by providing a road map on how to research & benchmark.

  • Team Building Activity: Cycling and a day of bonding for F1 Academy team.
